Dominguez the 22 year old from the Dominican Republic, split time between the Dodger’s single-A affiliate Great Lakes, and their double-A affiliate Chattanooga. While pitching in 38 games between the two leagues, Dominguez posted a 4-4 record, 4.90 ERA, five games started, five saves, 87 whiffs, and a 9.9 whiff per nine rate. In 79 innings pitched, the rookie walked 47 batters.

The youngster was signed by the Dodgers at the age of 17, and has spent the last few years in the Dominican Rookie League. According to Ken Gurnick, Dominguez is ranked within the Dodger’s top 20 prospect list, although I don’t think he is that high on the Dodger’s depth chart. There is no word on what drug Dominguez was using that violated the drug policy. Hopefully Dominguez will never violate the drug rules ever again.
