The Dodgers have confirmed their contribution, but they did not comment any further. The Dodgers along with AEG were two of the corporations amongst 29 donors who are helping with the cause. Most of the funding for the reward is coming from police and law enforcement agencies.

The manhunt for Chris Dorner is extremely large in scope. The ex-Los Angeles Police Department officer is accused of killing a couple in Irvine and a Riverside police officer. His angst and reasons for the murders are outlined in a lengthy manifesto which he posted online. Dorner is seeking revenge for being terminated from the LAPD in 2009 after he reported another officer of police brutality.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said:
