Looks like we have seen the last of Blake Hawksworth.

Even if we never see Hawksworth again, his one decent season rid us of the awfulness of Ryan “Tootblan” Theriot. So even if hawk’s Dodger days are over, we can always remember he was the young pitcher who was traded for Ryan Theriot.

The truly sad part of this is we also miss out on his very hot sports anchor sister Erin. I would post up a pic of her, but I might get in trouble, or sued or something. I would rather not go there. Let’s just say she looks good, and leave it at that. Perhaps she can be an honorary Dodger? Anyways, so long Hawk! It’s been fun.

Hawskworth, the relief pitcher acquired in the Ryan Theriot trade, didn’t pitch at all in 2012, and hasn’t pitched since 2011. It is possible he may not pitch again. He is still recovering from several major arm and shoulder surgeries. Hawksworth has had two elbow surgeries. One of them was to repair damage done to his elbow from the original surgery. He also had surgery done on his right shoulder. Hawskworth is 29 years old, and went 2-5 for the Dodgers in 2011, in 49 games pitched.

Angle is a 27 year old outfielder, who briefly appeared in 31 games for Baltimore in 2011. Angle has never appeared in a major league game for the Dodgers. Instead he spent the entire 2012 season with the Albuquerque Isotopes. Angle played in 115 games, and hit .303 for the Topes. He smashed five home runs, drove in 47 runs, and stole 13 bases. In 647 career minor league games, Angle is a career .288 hitter with 182 stolen bases.

With Hawksworth still recovering from his major arm surgeries, it is unlikely he will pitch in 2013 at all. For Angle it seems very unlikely that he would make the Dodger’s major league roster in 2013, with the team already having an abundance of outfielders. The moves were made to clear room on the 40-man roster.
