Kendrick Vs. Bolsinger in Series Finale

The Dodgers will be trying to earn a series split with last place Colorado on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the home stand. The Dodgers punted away Saturday night’s game, and ruined Zack Greinke’s winning streak thanks to Don Mattingly’s stupid all right handed lineup. That is the third time in the last few weeks that he’s not played his best hitters because a left hander is on the mound. Naturally it resulted in another pathetic loss.

In case you were wondering Adrian Gonzalez is batting .370 (17 for 46) with three home runs and an OPS of over 1.000 against Jorge De La Rosa. That is the stat of the day. It’s almost as if not playing your best hitters in the lineup makes you lose. Huh….

  • In his last start he allowed two earned runs on seven hits through seven innings against the Angels, and got a no-decision. Kendrick has not won a decision since April 6. The 30-year old veteran is 75-72 lifetime. Against the Dodgers he is 5-7 with a 6.86 ERA in 11 starts, and he is 3-4 at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers are hitting .354 (35 for 99) with four home runs and 21 runs batted in against Kendrick. Once again it’s Adrian Gonzalez who stands above the rest with a .467 (7 for 15) with 4 RBI. So he better be in the lineup, or I am going to be supremely agitated.

Mike Bolsinger is looking for his second win as a Dodger, and he’ll go to the mound sporting a nice 1.59 ERA in two starts. He’s struck out 8 in 11.1 innings pitched, and has allowed just two earned runs and four walks. Colorado is hitting .412 (7 for 17) with a home run against him.

After the game the Dodgers are off on Monday, and then will travel to the lion’s den for a three game series against the Giants at San Francisco before returning home. Jason will have the call today, so stick around here after the game.

    Go Blue!
