The first game of the Dodgers/Twins three game interleague series has been postponed due to inclement weather. The Dodgers are beginning a nine game three-city road trip, that has them traveling to Washington and Miami after they leave Minnesota. It was looking unlikely that they would be able to get this game in, with the inclement weather being forecasted for tonight. The Dodgers and Twins will play a split doubleheader on Thursday at 6PM. The original game on Thursday is scheduled for 10 AM pacific time, noon PM local time. The second game will be played at 6 pm. This is what is normally called a day/night doubleheader. (The Dodgers are calling it a split doubleheader). You know, if the Twins still played in the Metrodome, we wouldn’t have this issue. The Dodgers are trying for their 10,000th franchise win. They’ll have to wait yet another day.

Target Field

This is the first time the Dodgers have played at Minnesota since 2011, and the first interleague road series of the year for the boys in blue. The Dodgers are 3-6 at Minnesota, and are 8-3 on the road this year.

The weather forecast is calling for snow, and cold temperatures throughout the three game series. According to the forecasts, it is lightly snowing right now in Minnesota, and is 37 degrees in Minneapolis. Zack Greinke was supposed to counter right handed youngster and top draft pick Kyle Gibson tonight. The Dodgers are coming off of a frustrating 4-6 home stand, and another day-off couldn’t hurt.

Right now the Dodgers are 14-12 and are one game behind the Giants in the NL West. Meanwhile the Twins have a 12-11 record, and are in second place in the AL Central. Minnesota is one game behind Detroit. The Twins just had their last game on Sunday rained out as well.

Sorry guys, I guess we’ll have to wait until Wednesday for our daily Dodger Baseball fix. Check in with us Wednesday evening for complete coverage of the Dodgers/Twins game at 5:10 PM.
