*Video* Kemp, Hanley, Gonzalez and Ethier Batting Practice

I’m excited to share another video with you from Camelback Ranch this past weekend. It was amazing to watch the Dodgers practice on the backfields at Camelback Ranch, and the day couldn’t have been more beautiful. I will write another post dedicated to my trip and experience, but I wanted to bring you this batting practice footage.

Saturday morning there were a lot of work going on in preparation for the upcoming Opening Day series in Australia. Some of the big sluggers were out working on their swings including Matt Kemp, Hanley Ramirez, Andre Ethier and Adrian Gonzalez.

Matt Kemp looked noticeably slimmer to me, and as you can see from his batting practice session he may need to work on his timing a bit still. The thing that impressed me the most was Adrian Gonzalez’s fluidity and smoothness during his turn in the cage.  Hanley Ramirez is also amazing to watch hit, and Andre Ethier looks to be ready for the season as well.

The Dodgers will be bringing their bats and their gloves to Australia, and we will have our first real game action for the new season later this week! After visiting Camelback Ranch and interacting with the players this past weekend, I’m super anxious to get this season started!

THE DODGERS ARE FULL OF HOT AIR (LASORDA IS FULL OF PASTA, LOOKS LIKE A WHITE WINFREY). THEY SPEND WAY TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THE POOR RESULTS THEY RECEIVE. THE WORST CULPRIT? YASIEL PUIG(WIFE AND I CALL HIM PUKE). HE IS A DUMB KID IN AN ADULT BODY. UNLESS MATTINGLY CAN GET THIS CUBAN DEFECTOR TO BECOME A TEAM MATE, AS OPPOSED TO BEING ONLY ABOUT HIMSELF, THEN THE DODGERS HAVE WASTED A LOT OF MONEY ON A VERY MEDIOCRE BASEBALL PLAYER. ONLY TRUE TEAM MATE ON THE TEAM IS HANLEY RAMIREZ, A CLASS ACT , BUT HE CANNOT CARRY THE TEAM. THE DODGERS BEST PERSON IS VIN SCULLEY, A CLASS ACT. IN CLOSING, I PREDICT THE DODGERS WILL COME IN SECOND PLACE TO BRUCE’S GIANTS. OF COURSE, THE DODGERS WILL HAVE THEIR “REASONS” FOR FAILING AGAIN (INJURIES, EARTH QUAKES, GLOBAL WARMING, AND, OF COURSE, NOBODY WILL BELIEVE THIS HORSE MANURE. SORRY DODGER FAITHFUL, 2014 WILL BE ANOTHER SEASON FILLED WITH SOME EXCITEMENT, BUT MOSTLY DISAPPOINTMENT and DISGRACE

THE DODGERS ARE FULL OF HOT AIR (LASORDA IS FULL OF PASTA).THEY HAVE SPENT WAY TOO MUCH MONEY ON MEDIOCRE PLAYERS, AND 2014 WILL BE NO DIFFERENT. THE WORST OFFENDER IS THE CUBAN DEFECTOR YASIEL PUIG, A DUMB KID IN AN ADULT BODY. IF HE WAS 30 PER CENT AS GOOD AS HE THINKS HE IS, HE WOULD BE GREAT. HOWEVER, HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME LIKE A MAJOR LEAGUE BALL PLAYER. HE IS ALL ABOUT HIMSELF, NOT KNOW WHAT TEAM MATE MEANS. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TALK TO THIS KID (USING AN INTERPRETOR), TELLING HIM HOW HE SHOULD PLAY THE GAME. DON’T MAKE ROUTINE PLAYS LOOK DIFFICULT TO MAKE YOURSELF SEEM LIKE A SUPER STAR. HIT YOUR CUT OFF MAN, AS OPPOSED TO SLINGING THE BALL INTO THE STANDS. DO ALL YOU CAN DO TO GET ON BASE (SUCH AS GETTING HIT WITH A PITCH), HIT AND RUN, ALSO, AS FOR THE REST OF THE DODGERS, THEY ARE GOOD, NOT GREAT. I FEEL MATTINGLY WILL AGE A GREAT DEAL IN 2014, JUST WORKING WITH CHRIS PEREZ and BRIAN WILSON, TWO HUGE EGOS WITHOUT THE TALENT TO BACK IT UP. MOST SOLID PLAYER EVERY DAY IS HANLEY RAMIREZ, A TRUE TEAM MATE, BUT HE CANNOT CARRY THE ENTIRE TEAM.
IN CLOSING, I PREDICT THE DODGERS WILL COME IN SECOND PLACE, BEHIND BRUCE’S WELL COACHED GIANTS. THE GIANTS DON’T SPEND THE MONEY LIKE THE DODGERS, BUT THEY DON’T NEED TO. BOCHEY IS A PROFESSIONAL MANAGER IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY. THE GIANTS ALSO HAVE THE FINEST CATCHER IN BASEBALL IN BUSTER POSEY. HE ISN’T FLASHY, HE JUST DOES HIS JOB LIKE A PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER. THE GIANTS HAVE A MORE THAN ADEQUATE PITCHING STAFF, SOLID HITTING, AND A GOOD BULL PEN, WHICH ADDS UP TO A TRIP TO THE BIG SHOW, WHICH THEY WILL WIN.

I AM ALSO A GATOR ALUMNUS, CLASS OF 1963, AND VERY PROUD OF MY SCHOOL AND THEIR TEAM. ALONG WITH MY WIFE PAMELA, WE ATTEMPT TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST EVERY SINGLE DAY. WITH A WIFE LIKE PAMELA, I COUNT MY BLESSINGS and THANK GOD FOR MY WIFE.

Wow. You are a mess Gordon. Hope you feel better after that purging upload. Good luck to your Giants, but I think the Dodgers are vastly better than you think, and will take the division.

FYI, your “professional” Giants finished 76-86 last year, thanks in large part to an underwhelming pitching staff that finished at the bottom of the league, shoddy defense, and a lineup bereft of power. They essentially have the same roster, with the exception of Mike Morse, who is a terrible outfielder, and the 38-year old Tim Hudson coming off of a broken ankle.

Exactly my perception as well. AG was smooth hand connecting every swing. AE also looked good.
