The Los Angeles Dodgers may have soaring payrolls and regular season ticket prices, but Dodgers spring training tickets remain relatively inexpensive when compared to other spring training prices. The average price for Dodgers games at Camelback Ranch in Phoenix is $46, with only four single games coming over that average.
3/9/14 vs San Francisco Giants | Avg. Price $58.89 | Get-in Price $17
The game against the Giants features the highest average price of the spring for the Dodgers, but also the second lowest get-in price of the top five games. The Giants will be on a quest to reclaim the division lead from the Dodgers after missing the playoffs in 2012.
3/8/14 vs Seattle Mariners | Avg. Price $57.28 | Get-in Price $33
The highest get-in price and second-highest average price of the spring are for a split squad game against the Mariners. While the Dodgers staying home will welcome in Robinson Cano and Seattle, half of the roster will be in Surprise playing against the Rangers.
3/7/14 vs Texas Rangers | Avg. Price $55.42 | Get-in Price $28
Speaking of the Rangers, the game against Texas has the second highest get-in price of the spring. With Texas’ addition of Prince Fielder at first base, this game could be between two potential World Series contenders.
3/15/14 vs San Diego Padres | Avg. Price $49 | Get-in Price $23
The last game of the spring to come with an above average price is a split squad meeting with the San Diego Padres. Instead of half the team traveling to another city to play a team, the half not playing the Padres will still be at Camelback Ranch, but as the away team against the White Sox, who share the facility with the Dodgers.
3/16/14 vs Colorado Rockies | Avg. Price $46 | Get-in Price $14
On a Sunday afternoon, the game against the Rockies is exactly the average price for the spring. It’s also the lowest get-in price of the top Dodgers games in Phoenix. This will also be the last game for the Dodgers in Arizona before they host the Angels for two exhibition games at Dodger Stadium before the season starts.
The Dodgers will hope to improve upon their appearance in the National League Championship Series last season. The team has some young players coming up who could make enough impact in spring to make contributions to the major league roster in the regular season.
