Pitchers and Catchers Report to Camelback Ranch Saturday

The snow is melting off of our hearts which have iced over during this long offseason without Dodgers baseball which means only one thing… pitchers and catchers are reporting to Camelback Ranch tomorrow! On Saturday, Dodgers pitchers and catchers will arrive (I assume many are already in Arizona) in order to participate in their first battery workout on Sunday, February the 9th.

Position players are scheduled to report on Thursday, February 13th. The first full-squad workout will be held on Valentine’s Day. Which players do you have your heart set on taking a look at this Spring? There will be 57 players participating in Major League camp with only 25 ultimately making it on the Opening Day roster.

Here’s a list of the players who will be in big league camp so far. There could always be additions if the Dodgers sign anyone else this spring i.e. a Bronson Arroyo or such.

Minor league camp will begin on March 3rd when pitchers and catchers report. Position players report on March 11th.

Dodgers 2014 Spring Training begins Saturday with pitchers and catchers reporting.

The Dodgers first Spring Training game will be held on Wednesday, February 26th at 12:10 p.m. PT against the rival D-backs at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona. The game will be broadcast on the new all-Dodgers television station SportsNet LA and will be announced by our beloved Vin Scully.

Only 19 more days until we hear Vin Scully say “It’s Time for Dodger Baseball.”
