Fans Will Help Decide One 2014 Dodgers Bobblehead

The Dodgers unveiled their 2014 promotional schedule complete with giveaway days and bobblehead games. The mainstays of the Dodgers promotions held at Dodger Stadium for 2014 remain the same. There will still be Friday Night Fireworks following Friday home games, Viva Los Dodgers will continue usually on Sundays, Kids Run the Bases on Sunday afternoons, and the Dodgers will also give away 10 bobbleheads and a Hello Kitty mini bobblehead.

There will be a Yasiel Puig bobblehead night on May 13, 2014. My daughter had been already asking for a Puig bobblehead this past season. Hyun-jin Ryu and Zack Greinke will also be honored in bobblehead form. The most interesting twist to the bobblehead lineup is the addition of a Fan Vote Bobblehead being given away on June 26, 2006. I’m not sure how the fans will vote for the future bobblehead, but I’m hoping for a Nancy Bea bobblehead!

There will also be a second promotional item, a t-shirt, which will be voted on by the fans.

The Dodgers are also giving away a tongue-in-cheek “Welcome Mat” on Saturday, April 19th versus their most recent rival the D-backs. There will also be another Old-Timers game which is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th. What I don’t see in the schedule are any Bark in the Park days. The Dodgers have had one to two games per season where dog owners can bring their pets to Dodger Stadium and sit in the Pavilion complete with a stroll around the park.
