Playoff Baseball returns to Dodger Stadium for the first time since 2009, as the Dodgers five game playoff series against the Atlanta Braves shifts to Los Angeles for games 3 and 4. The series is tied after the clubs split the first two games in Atlanta, with the Dodgers winning game 1, and the Braves hanging on to win game 2 to even the series. The pitching match-up for Sunday night will feature Atlanta rookie Julio Teheran countering Dodger’s lefty Hyun-jin Ryu.

There will be many festivities before the scheduled 5:00 PM third game. What Dodger Playoff game would be complete without Dodger dogs? People always ask me how many Dodger dogs I can eat or stuff into my mouth at once. But get this, how does new Dodger dogs sound to you? Are you intrigued? The Dodgers will be unveiling two new Dodger dogs during the NLDS. That’s right, the Dodgers have two new Dodger dogs ready to feed to the Dodger Blue massives.

The Playoff Dog, an all-beef Farmer John dog on a pretzel baguette topped off with hot pastrami with yellow mustard and a pickle spear, will be available at the Extreme Loaded Dogs stands on the Reserve and Loge levels and at the Dodgertown Deli on the Field Level.

The second dog being unleashed is called the Championship Dog. The Championship Sausage, a 14” sausage served with American cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, diced red tomato, caramelized onions, Thousand Island dressing topped with shoe string fries and a pickle spear will be available at the Dodger Dog stands on the Field Level in section 48.

Besides these tasty new Dodger dogs, Levy restaurants will also be offering two Dodger collectible postseason cups which will be available throughout Dodger Stadium during the playoffs.

The gates open at 2PM, and Fernando Valenzuela will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. Get there early, and grab one of these tasty new dogs before I eat all of them up.
