Jul 7, 2013; San Francisco, CA, USA; Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig (66) reacts after the final out of the game was recorded against the San Francisco Giants at AT

Want To Annoy Bruce Bochy? Vote Yasiel Puig For The 2013 All-Star Game! Vote 66!

Want to piss off Bruce Bochy and the Giants? Would you like to annoy San Francisco? Who wouldn’t want to annoy SF, am I right? Then vote Yasiel Puig into the all-star game! Remember Bruce Bochy refused to select Puig as a reserve for the all-star game and does not consider him an all-star. Puig needs our help.

So in order to piss off Bochy and the Giants, the Dodgers are trying to get Puig into the all-star game. Adrian Gonzalez is also nominated on the ticket, but getting Puig in is the real goal.

The final vote is a chance for fans to vote in a player for the final spot on the National League’s all-star game roster. Five players are chosen to run, and the fans pick the winner via vote. Fans can vote online as many times as they want from now until the campaign ends on July 11.

Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig (66) bats against the San Francisco Giants.

The five players chosen for the final vote are Dodgers Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, Freddie Freeman of the Braves, Hunter Pence of the Giants, and Ian Desmond of the Nationals. As of right now, Puig is trailing Freeman so he needs all your support to get to the all-star game at Citi Field on July 16.

The Dodgers will be holding viewing and voting parties over the next few days in various places around Los Angeles. The first of these viewing/voting parties will be held tonight at Barney’s Beanery in Burbank while the Dodgers are playing the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at Chase Field. Puig’s campaign manager Steve Garvey, who is the last player to be written into the all-star game will be on hand for Monday and Tuesday night’s events. The crew from Fox Sports AM 570 will also be there.

Prizes and tickets will be given away during game commercial breaks.  The Ultimate Puig Fan will be given the opportunity to meet Puig in person on Sunday, July 14th, Puig T-Shirt Day at  Dodger Stadium.  Fans are urged to show their Puigmania, and the craziest most fun fan will be chosen each night.

Here is where the viewing/voting parties will be held. The first one begins tonight at 6:30 PM at Barney’s Beanery in Burbank.

Childish. If he is truly as good as his early stats he will be in many, many All Star games.

Want to piss off Bruce Bochy? Naw, not at all. I’m still a Bochy fan. I don’t know whether my darkest day as a Padre fan was when Bochy left the team, or whether the lame-brain management decided to jettison Kevin Tower…both are hugely regrettable moves! Now I am a Dodger fan again, and I root for the Giants when they are in the playoffs.

    • LasordasLair

I’m sorry but how are you a Dodger fan and root for the Giants? How does that work?

  • Quasimodo

Childish? Guess I can except that. But, take into count the bigger picture of what this children’s game means on a larger scope. Puig doesn’t change the game of baseball without changing the world. He was stubborn enough to put his life on the line with attempts to escape Cuba until he was successful. All the ‘feel good’ stories of Cuban defectors harm Castro’s hold on Cuba even more than the embargo. Cuba is saturated with baseball and all of Cuba has eyes on Puig. He’s a big story here. He’s a bigger story in Cuba. Vote for the world-vote for Puig!

there’s a fair amount of racism going on here. Harper is just as childish. Hell Clemens was when he was 40. some people are just afraid of the big “ethnic” man. get over it.
