Some of you may not have been able to attend the home opener in person, but we have a small Opening Day 2013 souvenir to give away to one lucky person. I picked this up myself during the game today which the Dodgers won with a score of 4-0 thanks to the heroics of Clayton Kershaw.

2. You must be 18 years of age or older or have your parent’s permission.

The contest will run through Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 3 p.m. Pacific Time.

Good luck!

I’m excited to see our team comeback from what has been the most frustrating seasons we have ever experienced as fans. From Fox to the McCourts. As a fan I finally feel safe putting my faith in our new ownership. And of course we need a ring. Now.

After what he did today could Dodgers fans possibly be more excited about Clayton Kershaw’s march to his 2nd Cy Young and possible MVP. If he keeps throwing complete game shutouts and hitting home-runs in crucial situations that give the Dodgers the lead then the whole Cy Young/MVP idea may not be too crazy. So today has to go down as one of the most exciting opening days, perhaps since Fernando kicked off Fernando’Mania by throwing his own CGSO in 1981. Combine Kershaw with everything the new management has done to rebuild the Dodgers from the talent on the Major League roster to the exciting prospects like Yasiel Puig to completely renovating Dodger Stadium there is a lot to be excited about for Dodgers fans this year. Don’t forget 50 years ago the Dodgers won the World Series, 25 years ago they did it again, so I’m just saying every 25 years it’s Dodgers WS time and this time it’s with a “Whole New Blue”!!!

Kershaw quoted Pedro Cerranto from the movie Major League yesterday in the 8th inning ” F you joboo, I do it myself”… What a time to hit your first career home run… I was excited to see a healthy Carl Crawford hitting the ball hard… I’m excited to see management giving a great team back to the fans as well… This is going to be an exciting year all around for the dodgers and us fans…

Most excited for this season? A return to Dodger excellence that has unbelievably slipped away in the past decades. A return to Dodger pride and their historical place as one of the greatest baseball teams ever. And a return to Dodger excitement on one of the biggest stages in the world, Dodger Stadium. I think it can happen, and if Opening Day was any indication, ‘A Whole New Blue’ in 2013 just might happily remind me of those glory years of decades past. Now beat those gnats tonight!

Most excited for this season, especially the way Kershaw set the tone for the rest of the season, the possibilities can & will become reality. The Dodgers have the best rotation in baseball, (top3). The best in the NL, they have the power they were lacking for years, and we finally have great ownership willing to spend the money and do what it takes to win WS titles. Stan Kasten is a modern day Branch Rickey, we have Magic Johnson who is a great owner & face for any team & his w/ the Dodgers. Kemp & Crawford appear healthy, Agon is ready, now all we need is a healthy Hanley & its a wrap. I see you in the WS 2013!!!! The slogan is right its a whole new blue, a whole new dynasty! Kershaw wins his second Cy Young in 2013, and the best thing, the GREAT Sandy Koufax is back with the Dodgers organization, thanks to great ownership. The greatest pitcher is back home.

Really excited about the opportunity the Dodgers have this year. We seem to have all the parts to make a huge statement this yr. Having 2 “Beasts” at the top of the rotation and a good mix on offense. If the team chemistry can come together this will be an October to remember.
