Dodgers Still Looking for First Cactus League Win

facebooktwitterreddit

The Dodgers scored a couple of runs yesterday versus the White Sox thanks to a Luis Cruz homerun, but they are still looking for their first victory of Spring Training. Monday, in a 12:05 p.m. game, the Dodgers will go up against the other Chicago team- the Cubs.

Monday’s game will be the very first televised Dodger game of the Spring, and it will be broadcast on Prime Ticket. We will be graced with Vin Scully’s beautiful and iconic voice for the first time in 2013. Dodger fans will be able to finally feel normal again after a long, cold offseason.

Lineup:

Gordon SS

Schumaker 2B

Hairston RF

Uribe 1B

Punto DH

Castellanos CF

Castro C

Amezaga 3B

Gwynn LF

We will all be watching as Chad Billingsley goes to the mound for the first time this Spring. This will be his first appearance since last August 24th when he had to call it a season due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. It makes me a little nervous, but hopefully Chad continues to throw pain free. Chris Capuano will follow Chad, and he will have a lot of eyes watching as well. Cappy is vying for a spot on the team even though the Dodgers have a few too many starting pitchers on the roster at the moment.

Matt Guerrier, Kevin Gregg, Shawn Tolleson, and Paco Rodriguez are also scheduled to pitch. Carlos Villanueva will make the start for the Cubbies.

Please join us after the conclusion of the game for a complete game recap and analysis. This will be our first detailed recap of 2013!
