We’ve made it through the long, cold offseason! Tomorrow at 12:05 p.m. the Dodgers will take the field for the first time in 2013 for their opening Cactus League game. The Boys in Blue will take on their Camelback Ranch cohorts-the Chicago White Sox.

We have the first lineup of the Spring:

Hanley Ramirez SS

Mark Ellis 2B

Adrian Gonzalez 1B

Andre Ethier RF

Luis Cruz 3B

Skip Schumaker CF

Jerry Hairston Jr. LF

A.J. Ellis C

Juan Uribe DH

Don Mattingly has said that he will be trying to get Hanley Ramirez, Luis Cruz, and Adrian Gonzalez at least three plate appearances per game before they depart to participate in the World Baseball Classic. Hanley Ramirez will lead-off for the Dodgers Saturday since Carl Crawford will not be playing for at least another week. Matt Kemp will also most likely not be playing until the beginning of March.

Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers 2013 regular season Opening Day starter, will start for the Dodgers on Saturday. Then Matt Magill, Stephen Fife, Mark Lowe, Ronald Belisario, Kelvin De La Cruz, and Gregory Infante are scheduled to get some work in after Kershaw. Dylan Axelrod will start for Chicago.

The Dodgers are also planning to have the following players as reserves for each of the positions: Dee Gordon SS, Nick Punto 2B, Dallas McPherson 1B, Yasiel Puig RF, Justin Sellers 3B, Alfredo Amezaga CF, Elian Herrera LF, Jesus Flores C, Tony Gwynn Jr. DH.

Ironically Juan Uribe will be the designated hitter for the Dodgers. Anyone want to guess how he does tomorrow? 0-2?

The game will be broadcast on radio 570 FOX Sports L.A.

Thanks for being with us through this offseason. We have a lot to look forward to in 2013.

Go Dodgers!
