New Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford will be holding a special media luncheon this afternoon at Dodger Stadium. The Luncheon will allow the Los Angeles media a chance to meet with him for the first time and ask him questions. The event starts at 11:30 today, and is held at the Dodger Stadium Club level. All media members interested in attending should contact the Dodger stadium Public Relations Department. Crawford was acquired by the Dodgers last August from the Red Sox in the huge blockbuster trade, along with Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, and Nick Punto. All fans will be able to ask Crawford questions via twitter, by using the hashtag #DodgerChat. Crawford was unable to play for the Dodgers in 2012, because he was still recovering from Tommy John surgery on his left elbow. He is expected to be ready by spring training, and will be the starting left fielder for the Dodgers.
There will also be an Open house for Dodger season ticket holders at Dodger Stadium today at 10AM. The select-A-seat event allows Dodger season ticket holders to take a look at available season seat locations, take pictures, and play catch on the field. The following day, which is tomorrow, the Open house is available for all fans from 10-3 P.M. All Dodger fans that attend the open house will be given a 50% discount on all Dodger merchandise from the left field team store.
The season seat pricing will either stay the same, or be lowered for at least 86 percent of the season seats. More than 25,000 season seats have a price of ten dollars or less for the 2013 season. You can find more information about the Dodger’s Open House here. You can also find more information on obtaining season tickets here.
