Chad Billingsley Visits The UCLA Children’s Hospital

Clayton Kershaw, isn’t the only Dodger pitcher with a heart of gold. Dodger’s starting pitcher Chad Billingsley made his annual visit to the UCLA Children’s hospital the other day to spend some time with the kids. Every year after the season ends, Bills comes down to the UCLA Children’s Hopsital to help out, donate money, spread gifts, and spend some time with the kids. It’s heartwarming to see all of the kid’s faces light up as soon as Bills enters their rooms. Most of the kids at the hospital are Dodger fans, and some are even big Billingsley fans. One kid had drawn a picture for Bills. In another scene, Bills makes a young cancer patient smile by switching hats with him. Bills handed out gifts to the kids, signed autographs, took pictures, and generally spread good cheer to all of the young patients.

Chad Billingsley was 10-9 with a 3.55 ERA in 25 starts for the Dodgers this season before an elbow injury in August sidelined him for the rest of the year. If there was an award for biggest heart, Chad Billingsley would win. Watch Bills make these special kid’s happy, in the rest of the video below.
