Another PT Billingsley Start at Camelback Ranch

The Dodgers return home to Camelback Ranch, to take on the Chicago White Sox. Not surprising, is the televised Chad Billingsley start for the hundreth time. Apparently the rules of the spring dictate that all Clayton Kershaw starts happen on the road, while only Billingsley starts can happen on tv. The Dodgers are currently 11-8-4 in Cactus League play.

Dodger’s starting pitcher Ted Lilly says his rusty neck is steadily improving, and he feels better than he did yesterday, however he is still expected to miss his scheduled start tomorrow. He had the same issues with his rusty neck last season, but was invigorated after an acupuncturist session. This year it appears he might have to resort to the same therapy. Lilly’s first start of the regular season is scheduled for April 7th, in San Diego. The Dodgers have an off-day after the four game series, and can push Lilly’s turn in the rotation back until April 14th. Chris Capuano would be pushed up to take Lilly’s turn in the rotation if his neck is still on the mend. Dodger youngster, Nathan Eovaldi will more than likely start in his place tomorrow, and will be at the ready if Lilly has to miss any extended time because of his rusty neck.

John Danks vs. Chad Billingsley

Chad Billingsley will be battling John Danks on the mound today, as the Dodgers host the White Sox. Loney gets the day off, as Juan Rivera will play at first base, and bat cleanup. Jerry Sands, who has been un-impressive this spring, will play in left field, and bat sixth. If Sands wants to make the opening day roster, he better start swinging the bat better. A.J. Ellis gets the day off as well, as Matt Treanor will be behind the plate for the Dodgers today. Otherwise all other regulars are in the lineup. We can also expect to see Javy Guerra, Scott Elbert, and Jamey Wright, make appearances on the mound for the Dodgers.

Today’s game is at 1:05PM, and will be televised on Prime Ticket. We are just ten days away from opening day in San Diego. In just ten days we will hear those five beautiful words we long to hear all winter, and spring long. ITS TIME FOR DODGER BASEBALL! We will be back with a quick recap of today’s game. Enjoy the day Dodger fans. Go Blue.
