Baseball Reinstates Manny

This just in, MLB has officially reinstated Manny Ramirez. After filing for reinstatement, MLB has approved his reinstatement, but he still must serve a 50 game suspension for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs last year.

Manny has been calling teams directly, asking them if they are looking for any help at DH. Manny only had 17 at bats for Tampa Bay last year before being suspended for 100 games for PEDs. He immediately announced his retirement rather than serving his suspension. Afterwards he expressed interest to make a comeback. Manny is 39-years old and unlikely to be able to play in the field, so a DH position would be his best bet.

MLB has since reduced his suspension to 50 games. The Dodgers and Rays do not have any interest in bringing him back. The DH market is already pretty full in the American League, and there are people who suspect that Manny would have to accept a non roster invite to spring training.

I’ve noticed a lot of people still get really upset when you talk about Manny. What do you think of Manny’s comeback? Love it, or hate it? Whatever your opinion is, just don’t shoot the messenger……and Go Blue
