Dodgers Open 2nd Half Tonight in Arizona

The Dodgers ended the first half of the season by doing something they hadn’t done all year, win four games in a row. They will look to make it 5 straight with their ace, Clayton Kershaw on the mound, tonight in Arizona. Newly acquired Juan Rivera will get the start for the Dodgers in LF and will provide protection for Matt Kemp in the lineup.

Rivera becomes the 10th player the Dodgers have used in LF this year, and his acquisition likely means Dodger fans won’t see Jerry Sands playing in the Ravine anytime soon. The Dodgers also activated Rod Barajas from the DL and sent AJ Ellis back to AAA.

Tonight’s Lineup:

1. Rafael Furcal SS

2. Juan Uribe 3B

3. Andre Ethier RF

4. Matt Kemp CF

5. Juan Rivera LF

6. James Loney 1B

7. Dioner Navarro C

8. Jamey Carroll 2B

9. Clayton Kershaw P
