Dodgers Braves Wear Throwback Uniforms

Davey Lopes and Don Mattingly pre-game in their throwback uniforms

April 21 marks the anniversary of the Dodgers franchise’s first victory, which came against the Braves in 1890. Today both teams are wearing uniforms from the 1940′s. The Dodgers original uniform was made of a highly reflective satin fabric to make it more visible under the lights for night games, however the jersey’s worn by the Dodgers today will not be made from the same highly reflective satin.

The game-worn, autographed jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the Dodgers Dream Foundation. I just enjoy seeing the high socks and stirrups like I wore in little league. Enjoy.
