Signed reliever JJ Putz (7-5, 2.83 ERA, 65 strikeouts in 54 innings)

Signed free agent third basemen Melvin Mora (.285 7 homeruns and 45 RBIS)

San Diego Padres:

Traded Adrian Gonzalez to the Boston Red Sox (.298 31 homeruns, 101 RBIS)

Signed Pitcher Aaron Harang (6-7, 5.32 ERA and 82 Strikeouts)

San Francisco Giants
