Dodgers Top 10 Prospect Report – 8. Trayvon Robinson

Trayvon Robinson-Trayvon Robinson is the kind of player that has all the skills, he just needs to put them all together. Arguably the best athlete in the Dodgers system, Trayvon can play every position in the outfield, even though his most natural position is center. His 2009 numbers were solid, finishing the year at Chattanooga with a combined .300 average and 47 steals.

The fact that Robinson is a better right fielder than Lambo might also play an affect on the Dodgers plans, depending on how long they choose to leave Ethier in right. The knock on Trayvon is basically the fact that he’s more of an athlete than a baseball player, but seeing as how Matt Kemp had the same knock, the Dodgers may be patient and see what Trayvon can become. If Trayvon can find a way to put it all together this year, the Dodgers may come calling next year when Manny is gone and an outfield position is vacant.
